The Flying 99s

In 1929, a small group of pioneering women competed in the first all-female air derby. After the race, the ladies decided to form an organization to represent and advocate for women in aviation. At the time, there were only 118 women with pilot's licenses and an invitation was sent to each one. Ninety-nine responded and from there, the 99s International Organization of Women Pilots was born. This week on LoyalTV, join us in Oklahoma City at the 99s Museum of Women Pilots for a look back at how the early members of the 99s were trailblazers for female aviators around the world.
