Mustang has been a center of energy for Oklahoma since the early morning hours of May 5, 1950, when OG&E powered up the nation's first power plant to generate electricity using both gas and steam turbines. Fast forward seven decades later and on November 10, 2017, OG&E's CEO fired up the new, state-of-the-art Mustang Energy Center with a simple computer keystroke.
